In Skeleton Knight geht es um "Arc", einen Mann der irgendwie in einer anderen Welt landet, mit dem Aussehen und den Fähigkeiten seines Skelett Avatars aus einem Spiel. Allerdings ist diese Welt anders als in der Beschriebung des Buches geschrieben offenbar nicht die selbe Welt wie im Spiel und zumindest in diesem ersten Band hat die Tatsache das er ein Skelett ist noch praktisch keine Auswirkungen, außer das er fast nie seine Rüstung ablegt.Statt nun verzweifelt einen Weg zurück zu suchen streift er vorerst augenscheinlich ziellos umher und erkundet einfach nur ein bisschen die Welt. Wie für viele Isekai Light Novels üblich ist Arc übermächtig und somit nie in wirklich großer Gefahr und er kommt schnell zu Geld, so das er sich um sein Überleben praktisch keine Sorgen machen muss. Was diese Light Novel Reihe bisher aber ausmacht ist das sie gut geschrieben ist, der Hauptcharakter sympathisch ist und glaubhaft handelt, und die Welt im Allgemeinen nicht uninteressant ist. Von politischen Intrigen und Machtkämpfen die gerade erst ihren Anfang nehmen, zu verschiedenen Rassen die sich gegenseitig mehr oder weniger mögen und stellenweise auch noch als Sklaven gehalten werden.Obwohl der generelle Ton des Buches recht ruhig ist gibt es immer wieder Stellen die eher erwachsen sind, so hat Arc bsw. keinerlei Skrupel mal ein paar Banditen in mehrere Teile zu zerlegen, und auch praktisch nackte Sklavinen bekommen ihren Auftritt.Wenn ich Skeleton Knight mit einer anderen Serie vergleichen müsste käme mir "Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody" in den Sinn, durch die Parallelen was das Erkunden der Welt angeht, allerdings mit weniger Anime Kliches, wie z.B. dem obligatorischen Harem, was diese Serie für manchen angenehmer machen könnte.Und genau diesen Lesern würde ich diese Reihe nach diesem ersten Band auch empfehlen, die die Geschichten mögen in denen Charaktere andere Welten erkunden.
